Tom Regent


Tom Regent was appointed President –Sales & Marketing at BT Global Services in November 2010. Reporting directly to CEO Jeff Kelly, he is in charge of worldwide sales operations across 170 countries, bid management and indirect channels and marketing.

Tom came to BT with a wealth of experience in the global marketplace.

Prior to his move to BT, he was the Vice President – AT&T Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) which is one of the most important markets for AT&T outside of the USA.  He was responsible for leading a workforce of approximately 5,000 people in 31 countries.  From 2006 to 2007 he was Vice President for Global Marketing at AT&T responsible for all aspects of the company’s international marketing efforts outside the USA.

From 2004 to 2006, as Vice President – Global Accounts, he had been responsible for AT&T’s business with customers headquartered in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Earlier, in 2003 and 2004, he was based in the US where he was Chief of Staff for the President of AT&T’s global business.

Tom moved to AT&T from IBM in 1998 as a result of an outsourcing agreement between the companies.

A Belgian citizen, he graduated from the University of Leuven with a Bachelor of Applied Economics degree and gained a Master of Business Administration with a major in International Management from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve.

In 2009 and 2010, Global Telecoms Business named him one of the 40 top telecoms industry executives under 40 years old.
