CV Ramachandran
CV is a senior member of AlixPartners’ European and Middle East teams and has been with AlixPartners for seven years. CV brings a deep understanding of the global dynamics across several manufacturing industries to his clients – and has a strong track record of helping client companies improve operational and financial performance (including those in private equity portfolios). His broad functional expertise includes purchased cost reductions, supply chain management, innovation / product development, lean manufacturing and overhead cost reduction.
Prior to joining AlixPartners, CV spent thirteen successful years in management consulting, first as a partner at Booz•Allen & Hamilton and then at A.T. Kearney. Prior to management consulting, CV worked with Midland Ross Corporation for four years and then with Ford Motor Company for five years.
Throughout his career, CV has helped his clients improve operational performance. Some of examples include:
• Complete operational transformation for a client in the manufactured home business – including purchased costs, manufacturing footprint and overhead costs
• Purchased cost and inventory reduction for a consumer products company and for a health care company
• Operational improvement at several global manufacturers – including purchased cost reductions, manufacturing footprint optimization and overhead cost reduction
• Post merger integration in the vehicle industry – sustainable shareholder value created through a full potential improvement program deployed at the acquired company.
• Streamlining the product development and innovation process for a global client – to both accelerate cycle time and improve efficiency
• Due diligence for various private equity funds and hedge funds – across multiple industry sectors
• CV has received the highest awards for delivering client results and for developing results based relationships. CV has also published multiple articles on product innovation and purchasing effectiveness and has made presentations at several global conferences.
• CV has an MBA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with specialization in Strategy and International Business. He also has an MS in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh; and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He and his wife live in London.
